How It Works
Initial Consultation
At your first appointment, you will be asked to provide a broad historical overview of your general health. Our expert team will take as much time as necessary to discuss your concerns with you and provide answers to any questions you may have.
As part of the initial consultation process, we will then complete a full neural and musculoskeletal assessment. This includes blood pressure, lung function, reflex, joint and nerve function, height and weight etc. Advanced postural screening software is also used to assess your posture with particular focus on the neck and upper spine.
Your chiropractor may also require spinal x-rays to be taken. If this is the case, we provide full digital x-ray facilities at most of our centres.
This process generally takes around 60 minute and, whilst thorough, we can assure you that none of the procedures are in any way invasive. You will be made to feel relaxed and comfortable at all times.
Report Of Findings
On your second visit, your chiropractor will sit with you and thoroughly explain the outcomes of the initial consultation process. They will discuss and explain in detail the findings from the various testing and assessment procedures from your initial consultation, and walk you through your x-ray reports outlining the clinical indicators relating to your spinal function. With this information your chiropractor can then explain how chiropractic care can address your symptoms or other health concerns, and will suggest an appropriate schedule of care relevant to your needs.
If the chiropractor believes that you may benefit from an alternative mode of health care, they will either refer you to another health care provider or suggest alternatives to chiropractic.
Once you commence a schedule of chiropractic care, your chiropractor will ensure that you remain comprehensively informed of all aspects of the care that is being provided. Throughout this period, you will be encouraged to provide feedback on any issues relating to this care or present any questions you may have regarding chiropractic in general.
